Current Class Schedule and Online Registration

Our Co-op Community Classes program has a long and exciting history; we’ve had a plethora of learning partners over the years, the Free School, GRUB, the Fertile Ground, and more.   Many of our classes focus on basic kitchen skills, often paired with a solid education in a particular kind of food: hearty greens, fermented foods, international delicacies, pies, etc. We also feature classes on gardening, personal health, sustainable living, and social justice. Classes are geared towards beginners, with no assumption of prior knowledge, often packed with specific projects appealing to those with more experience.

At the heart of all of our programming is the spirit of generosity. Our classes are led by Olympia Food Co-op working members , staff and community members who want to share their excitement and knowledge with you.  Consider sharing your expertise with your community through a Co-op Community Class.  Our classrooms are a place to experiment, to explore, and to try something new in a supportive environment. They are a great place to network and meet others in your community who share your interests.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I can’t make it to the class I registered for. Can I transfer my registration to another class?
Your registration is not transferable from one class to another, though you may send a friend in your place to the class. If you, or your stand-in, are unable to attend, please cancel your registration to make your spot available to another interested community member.
  • How do I cancel my registration?
Within the confirmation email for the class you registered for, there is a link to cancel your registration. Click on the link and click “OK” to confirm your cancellation. You can receive a refund for your ticket minus Eventbrite’s fees.  If you deleted your confirmation email, you can email classes@olympiafood.coop and ask for help cancelling.
  • I love the Co-op Community Classes program. How can I donate more?
If you have felt moved by your Co-op classes experience and would like to donate more to the Olympia Food Co-op Community Classes Program, you can do so in the store at the registers, or in person at any Olympia Food Co-op class. Our registration page often features links to more information about teachers, including email contacts and websites. Feel free to communicate with teachers directly if contact information is available, or email classes@olympiafood.coop
  • What if I can’t sign up online? If you are having trouble signing up for a class or don’t do computers, you can pay any cashier at either store for a particular class.  You will need to give them your name, phone number and email address if you have one so we can get your registered.  Or email classes@olympiafood.coop and let us know which class you’d like to attend.
